July 9 internet virus

I saw in the newspaper today that there is a virus floating around that will shut down your internet access on July 9.  Also said that virus scanners won't find it because the virus has disabled it.  The  article sends you to a site, dcwg.org to detect the virus and clean it.

The whole thing seems hokey to me.  Anybody know if this is for real or not?  Searching only brings up reports in other papers and tv stations, no links to sites I trust.  Also, fbi.gov doesn't have any reference to it either even though they supposedly found this problem in the first place.

That's what I was afraid of.  Really crappy that newspapers are publishing this information.
