Mac beta & gmail with ssl/tls warnings
« on: June 07, 2011, 05:32:10 AM »
There's no way that I can see to tell it to ignore ssl/tls connections to trusted IMAP hosts from outlook (2011) so that every time it checks gmail for mail you get the SSL/TLS warning notification.

Looks like there's a lot of menus/functionality missing from the mac version.
None of the options in this post are present:

Having a similar problem. Have turned off SSL and changed ports for IMAP but I still get the warnings. I can send mail but the sent item is not sent to the server - just hangs until I kill it.

So, sadly, for the moment I can't really use this.

Sorry, on re-reading this it may not be too clear. The copy of the sent mail is not sent to the IMAP server. To confirm - also using Outlook 2011.

The IMAP append (sending messages to the server) bug is fixed in the latest build.
