« on: October 20, 2004, 01:31:39 PM »
I downloaded the zip file for the avast external control  from
http://www.excessive-software.tk/ and from here
http://snipurl.com/7ii8 and when i go to extract the files avast says a
virus has been found.
Virus name is Win32:Trojan-gen {VC}
why would it say that.?

File version is 0443-0

It's a false positive...
RejZoR's application is not a virus for sure... He will be sad (or angry) to know that this happened  :-\
Can you add it to your exclusion list until they correct this error?

Cheers all,
I was worried about it...never EVER had problems with his external control device and would hate to get rid of it.
Will do the same.

Run avast.
Right click the skin and choose Configurations (or Settings)
On the Exclusion tab, add the name and path of the application  ;)
