A friend of mine has a directory on his computer C:\$$NPD$$ and has asked me what it is.

A Google search turned up nothing. There are no files in the directory, yet it is marked as read-only.

Any information or suggestions would be appreciated.

If nothing show up on Google to tell you what it is then I say removed marked as read-only and than delete it.
