RC2

Hi;

I have installed the RC2 manager and the install was fine.  However the SQL manager shows no databases to connect to.  What did I do wrong?

You mean the SQL tray icon? If so - don't worry about it, it's normal.

This is basically because ADNM installs MSDE with all networking features disabled (to prevent debacles like MS SQL Slammer) - and this probably confuses the 'Manager'.

BTW the AMS works OK? I mean, can you connect to it from the ADNM console?

OK, I under4stand regarding the SQL manager.

However I cannot login to the ADNM console.  It does not list an AMS.  And when I try to have it detect it does not find anything.

First, please update the AMS (and the console(s), if you have installed any) to the latest version. Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> avast Management Tools -> Change/Remove -> Update.

Next, make sure the avast Management Server service is running. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services.

thanks

I did the update, but it was up to date.

The Server service is running, but it still does not list an AMS server to login to.
