Microsoft Windows Error Reporting
« on: June 20, 2011, 02:27:39 PM »
Yesterday when I clicked to open Firefox my PC crashed. I got a blue screen instructing to restart if I had not experienced this problem before, I had not. After reboot I was lead to the Microsoft web page in the link below which advised "Troubleshoot a problem with your antivirus software". Is there a way to report this to avast? (WinXP Pro, avast free 6.0.1125, Firefox 3.6.17).

Have you tried updating FF to latest 4.01
What add-ons do you use if any

Firefox 5 will be out in next minutes... It's on their servers already...

No, based on the M/S instructions, the problem was caused by anti-virus software. Java Console and Zone Alarm Tool Bar are the only Firefox add-ons.

Are you using just the ZA firewall or also the antivirus part?
