Hey there.

I'm using a pop 3 mail account (Incredimail) and every time I recieve an e-mail with a virus in the attachments, Avast pops up with a window asking what I want to do with the file.

I choose to delete the file, but for every junk e-mail it pops up with a new window asking me the same thing. I don't want to have to tell Avast to delete the virus in all 50+ junk mails that I get on a daily basis. I've tried to tell Avast to automatically delete the viruses, but no matter what I do, it ALWAYS pops up a window asking me what I want to do with each individual file. Is there any way to set Avast to automatically delete every virus file that it ever detects on my system? Or at least in e-mails?

Or even a delete all button would be nice. I don't mind pressing it once every time I check my e-mails, but not for every single e-mail that I recieve.

I've already unchecked the "Ask before session is deleted", " Ask before task is deleted" and "Deletion of files with dangerous extension" in the Confirmations options, but it still asks me all the time.

Set Avast to run in Silent Mode. Read the manual or do a little search on this board to see how to do that.

As Eddy said you can use silent mode, however this sends them to your chest directory and you will have to empty that periodically.

If I were receiving 50+ emails with virus attachments a day, I would take a look at my security procedures to block these at server level and not even download them. That way avast won't need to check them and alarm.

There are a number of anti-spam tools, I use MailWasher Pro (MW) because it deletes from the server without having to download first.

If the majority of these email viruses are coming from one email address then you could use the free version of MW. If the problem is with multiple accounts then the Pro version is good value for money, I bought mine almost two years ago and have not had to pay for any further upgrades.
