this is a bug in aswsp.sys driver
it will be fixed in next program update (this week)

Has this bug been fixed? Because I was just having the issue myself a couple of times this week. I was playing The Sims 3 and when Avast would try to update, I'd get the Blue Screen o' Death. And when I'd try to update it, it would tell me the package was broken. I uninstalled the program, rebooted, downloaded the newest one and installed it. Should that fix it? Because I've had to redo stuff TWICE now on my game and it's involved and time consuming and it's annoying the crap outta me! =(
