WHY NO STAND ALONE, DOWNLOADABLE AVAST WEB REP ADD-ON FOR FIREFOX.....

IT ONLY COMES AS A PACKAGE WITH AVAST PRODUCTS...

JUST A SUGGESTION.....

 ;)

Presumably because a) they want to retain control over it and b) it is a feature of avast. In the future when it has additions from the virus labs is another reason why it would remain a feature of avast.

Your CAPS LOCK key appears to be stuck or it is considered shouting.
Windows 10 Home 64bit/ Acer Aspire F15/ Intel Core i5 7200U 2.5GHz, 8GB DDR4 memory, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD/ avast! free 24.3.6108 (build 24.3.8975.762) UI 1.0.801/ Firefox, uBlock Origin, uMatrix/ MailWasher Pro/ Avast! Mobile Security

I thought that avast web rep can be used by non avast users and they would experience the power of user based website rating like WOT....

And I didn't know using the CAPS LOCK key meant shouting...oops.... :P

It can't be installed unless you have an xpi file for it and that isn't in the firefox/mozilla add-ons site, you have no settings in firefox, it can't be updated in firefox, it can't be saved in firefox using something like FEBEs add-on.

Effectively it isn't stand alone (you have little control over it) and isn't being offered as such. Offering it as a stand alone add-on won't show the strength of avast as it currently has nothing to do with security, but reputation alone and that from 'avast' users.

So if they want to see the power of avast, they only have to try it as the web shield and network shields are of a much greater importance.

Sound very interesting only when it available and we may have to wait and see how this version might preform better than any other web browser  ;)

If you can't beat it, join it.
I gave up on compatibility of addons in Firefox: I enter the nightly update channel. Worse for the addons ;D

Will the paths join in the future? If not, seems I won't see you again Asyn :'(
