avast delete wrong extension in emule
« on: June 22, 2011, 12:08:39 PM »
hello
sometimes, i download some mp3 files and sometimes these ones have wrong extension (when i click in Emule on properties, it's specified they have in fact wma extension, for example). And if i go in the Emule download repertory, i don't find these files, they apparently have been deleted. But what does that? I don't find any options about that in Avast. Is it from Avast?

avast! gives you a warning if anything is detected unless you set it to Silent Mode. If avast! didn't warn you about anything, then it hasn't detected anything and hasn't deleted anything (again assuming you don't use Silent Mode).

Some WMV files are bad as they use scripts embedded in the file to harm your computer.
