The problem is ashBase.dll

I found a file on the internet and this replaces. The problem persists, only now it is more "recent". Prior said that the latest version was 110616-1 and now he says that the latest version is 110706-1.

If possible, could you upload your ashBase.dll? I using the AIS to 6.0.1203.

I really want to help you, and I can understand your frustration.

It still seems that something wrong is happening when you connect to some Avast server.

But let me say that "something" else might be wrong.

I indeed believe your reports are true, as you see them.

I just can't understand why you are not following the instructions as requested.

You formatted your HDD and started anew. Why are you using an old version of Avast (according to your last posted log)?

Why would you like to "mess" with parts of Avast, instead of a clean install?

I suggested to use the latest stable free edition for at least a couple o days, with reboots in between each change, but you won't do it.

I mentioned that you still have old paths present in your system ("Alwil software"), so it seems you are not correctly using the clean unistall tool of Avast.

I gave you additional steps and suggestions, and you haven't reported about them.

Please, you need to review your steps, specially the clean uninstall of ALL your previous versions (ALL under Safe Mode, with reboots).

If you want someone from Avast Team to help you (and they usually do), please start a new topic, with the screenshots you already posted, the log of the latest stable free version of Avast, and please follow their suggestions with SPECIFIC feedback about each step you are asked to follow.

I sincerely hope that in a new topic you can receive the help you need so to resolve the problem.
