Why VPS update is creating a new folder?
« on: October 24, 2004, 11:51:50 PM »
Why VPS update (manual) is creating a new folder and not deleting it after the process is finished?

C:\TEMP\_av_proI.tm~a02616

Same question here... slight difference in numbers, but I guess that's normal... I also think, it should be just temporary folder and erased after update attempt...

Cheers !

It's either an error in the current build or a bad design -imho.

avast! should always create temporary files/folders adhering to the %temp% system variable.

Many XP users utilizing NTFS file system have locked down security on their drives to explicitly probhibit creation of files/folders in drive root folders.

OK, it was a bug... the problem should be fixed in the next update.
