avast Pro 4 and Outpost 2.5
« on: October 26, 2004, 10:24:27 AM »
I am trying avast Pro 4 and Outpost 2.5 at this moment. Can any of you who are also using these two programs advise the followings.

1. How well avast Pro 4 and Outpost 2.5 work on a single Windows XP PC? Is there any conflict you have ever experienced?
2. I learned that having avast scan the log file of Outpost may slow down system performance. How can you make an exception of this within avast?

Thanks a lot :)

Nope. Everything works fine. They should never conflict as avast! is not a firewall and Outpost is not an antivirus  8)

I never noticed that but you can:
1. Let the Outpost log file to a minimum size.
2. Exclude it from avast! scanning into the antivirus settings (Exclusions page)  ;)
