Mail Shield and IMAP

Good morning, I have as soon as loaded avast beta for Mac.
I have Mac OS 10.6.8
Avast 1.0 (28264)
I use Mac Mail for the mail

When active Mail Shield I more do not succeed to unload the mail from the IMAP Alice.

The message is:

It could be to us a problem with the server of mail or the network. Verification the formulations for account “Alice” or new evidence.
The server has brought back the error: The attempt to read given from the server “in.alice.it” is not successful.

Installing the software "HTML2POP3" I have resolved the problem.
