I have DSL and checked that I have an always on connection in Avast 4.5 It seems to connect for updates through the DSL, but tries to launch our dial-up account for work when the computer is started up.  I can not find a way to disable this.  Any sage advice?

Just ensure that you have the correct settings set (these are mine and I have dial-up). Right click the avast icon and select Program Settings...
