AV-TEST.org 2011/Q2 Windows XP

avast free got 5/6 for protection, 4/6 for repair and 4.5/6 for usability. By far the best free av and eclipses many other paid internet security suites! :)

cmon guys. why hate something just because you do not use it? well i am glad Avast is doing fine here as long as i  am using it.Avast does not need protection because it is protected by its effectiveness and millions of users happy and satisfied around the world.
AVG is really bloated but not non effective. My humble opinion
by the way   AVAST rocks all the way.

I'm slightly wary of the fact that bitdefender got 6/6 for protection. Seems a little fishy. They could have used a bigger sample to test the zero day protection (they only used 108 samples). Anyways i'm waiting for av comparative dynamic tests at the end of this year.

Avast has saved me on several occasions and did not bog down my system like BitDefender...
