@justinlee: Can you give us a bit more info ? What recovery environment did you use(WinPE or Linux) for restoring ? Which program version ? What error messages did you get ? Did you first verify the backup image before you went about restoring it(that is always a good idea) ?

Personally i tried restoring my system partition with both the Linux and WinPE rescue disks and whilst both were successful, the WinPE method was much less painless and much much faster. So for me the program works as advertised.

I don't think it is complete bollocks.  ;D

We have two users with positive experience, but we also have one with negative experience.

My point exactly. It is the experience of the users that determines the success or failure of the program.
You may read into that what ever you like.  ;D

Well, on balance, we have 2-1 in favour of a positive experience!  ;)

I used WinPE. As for the program version and error messages i really cannot remember it was some time ago. Yes i did first verify the backup image.

Harsh! I would actually consider myself very experienced. ToDo just did not work for me. Maybe it was problem with that particular version i don't know.

Have you try the latest version of Todo Backup v2.5.1 since they fix some bug problems related to W7 ???

No i haven't tried that latest version. I now stick to using Windows 7's own backup utility as i find it does the job and have had no problems with it whether i am backing up or restoring.
