Sorry. I didn't notice the 2nd page. I'd delete this post if I knew how...

I'm having the same problem. I did a full system scan, everything turned out all clear, but now I'm getting the same problem. I also can't open up Avast. When I tried to open it up the first time it said the program had been moved/deleted. When I tried again, it wouldn't open at all. The only thing that pops up is this:

What should I do? I'm not particularly computer savvy, so suggestions would be really helpful.

Try to do a system restore from a date before attack. And please... create new topic

avast is aware of the situation and is working on a solution.
avast does "not" have an "enhanced protection mode".  :)

And I was not trying to hijack then topic and get help myself (I swear I'm not trying to sound angry or snooty in this post, just informative), I just wanted to give more info on it since you had been asking him for screenshots and such. I will simply follow help given to him too, and if that does not work make my own topic.

However I did a system restore to the day before I clicked that stupid link and things seem to be okay now.

I think the situation deserved a sticky topic in forums.
It's worse than a false positive only, it messes the image of avast for the users.
