It would be good if avast could impliment the same idea with webrep as bitdefender did with this program in the way that they use the drop down tab rather than one big toolbar with nothing on it but webrep.

But then I am half wrong...not fully wrong...just saying
I've yet to see someone fall into the lake and come out "half" wet.  ;D

Its quite possible...like when the Big Bang created Earth...There is a probability for everything in this world :D

That's truly a strange answer coming from someone calling himself "Christian Geek - aka 'born again' Geek"

Hmm...I see Big Bang as G-D speaking 'Let there be light' and so on...but I wish no one replied to this because I don't want myself to drag my feet into Evolution vs Creationism debate...

But i guess, my choice of example was poor...but still, there is a probability for everything...thats what Statistics taught me...

It's a little odd for you to call this program over the top considering all the things
you already run on your computer.  ;D
You're right sometimes too much isn't a good thing but, what constitutes too much seems to depend
and vary greatly from user to user.

Since there's no way to tell which is a safe site and which is not,
Your statement of browsing carefully really doesn't hold water. (Sorry, but it's a well known fact.)

LOL  ;D
I agree...but I browse carefully...I don't download any thing unknown...I got no credit cards...Just a gaming card and my college card...

Yup, I have this habit of install quite a number of pre alpha and beta softwares but then its a valid application.

But then I am half wrong...not fully wrong...just saying ;)

I still think using Hostsman + Avast Shield + WebRep + MBAM Web block function+ Firefox and NoScript or Opera which is powered by AVG is pretty decent web protection..

Yeah, in the end, it differs from user to user...

Edited:

By the way, currently testing Comodo 5.8 Beta...Hoping to find a blame :P
Well, for Comodo 5.8 beta, I'd blame you because Comodo is stronger than Windows(interferes)!!! ::) It made fail all my critical important Windows Updates of July and by getting rid of it I solved the problem swearing they wouldn't get me again! 8)
For the BITDEFENDER TRAFFIC LIGHT EXTENSION BETA, anybody has noticed the advice on download pages about THE TOOLBAR ACCESSING PRIVATE INFORMATION DATA ??? It's a serious CON I have but when you think of it it's Bitdefender and it's an extension that has to do it to protect us while surfing. :) Otherwhise, it should not interfere with my speed. :)

Apparently the new beta isn't yet available for Chrome. It's still at 0.1.16  :'(

I guess its better to download from here than from the Firefox addon page

http://trafficlight.bitdefender.com/extensions.html

The first version even have an option to scan your SSL connections...I wonder if I can trust that feature...and ad blocking feature is coming soon....

Tried to install the full version yesterday but caused Fatal Exception BSOD on my system and corrupted Windows. Had to perform surgical System recovery. Don't know if Avast RP interfered???

I also had a BSD about 15 min after installing. I've simply allowed the computer to regularly and haven't seen any
more problems since.  If it I see another BSD, I'll restore to before the update.
