Laptops/Desktops
« on: July 29, 2011, 02:01:25 PM »
I was wondering that which brand of computer makers do you trust? Have got better services or value for money? Or even the driver support in the long run?

And which one do you own now?

I own Acer and Dell

Thanks  :)

I have owned a HP G6000 since June 2008 and have no real complaints. The major bugbear was only one gig of ram with vista which I upgraded to two gigs with crucial at a cheap price.Would I buy another HP,yes.

Not another sodding poll. Not to mention you can only vote for one, so a flawed poll as trust isn't a single issue/company, you can trust many companies, etc...

You could have simply asked for help in the form of a question.

I personally like Dell only because I own 2 and both serve me well.
I hate useless polls.  :(

You are right...but it seems i cannot delete the poll now..I guess i should have that option...

Although Dell is good...I found out that a HP Pavilion dv6-6166se has usb3 ports compared with a similarly priced Dell New Inspirion 15R which only have usb2 ports...

I refuse to vote in such a useless poll! What criteria makes one computer better than another?  ???
Dell Inspiron, Win10x64--HP Envy Win10x64--Both systems Avast Free v17.9.2322, Comodo Firewall v8.2 w/D+, MalwareBytes v3.0, OpenDNS, Super Anti-Spyware, Spyware Blaster, MCShield, Unchecky, Vivaldi Browser and, various browser security tools.

Reliability, support, hardware just to name a few, have you ever tried to find drivers for an LG ? support on there website is useless you might as well chuck them away.
I prefer acer or asus, acer have great support and its easy to navigate there website for drivers.

@DavidR what does "sodding" mean? And the British don't like some "Americanisms".  ;D

I like Asus laptops but i own an Acer netbook. Very satisfied with my little Acer, not so satisfied with all the crap that came pre-installed with it though. But i guess many manufacturers pre-install all sorts of crap on their products.
