New ver. 4.1.501

Hi,

I'd like to know what's new in ver. 4.1.501. Sorry, I'm not a AV specialist, but just common user...

I've just update my Avast Home from 4.1.418 to 4.1.501 and I can't see any difference between these vers The new features of X.501 are the same as in 4.5 beta? I read sth about firewall function in ver of Avast - where can I find it?

BTW, Should I change anythnig in configuration of my comp (e.g. Office Outlook)? I use XP Pro (without SP2).

I'll be grateful for explanation. BTW, I know that Avast is the greatest AV

No,this update is just a step in the transition to avast! 4.5. Nothing more.

As Rejor explained, it is an interim step.  Small changes have been made in the program itself to allow for the new method of updating which will be used in 4.5

Avast will take care of all changes and configurations necessary to "carry over" your settings.

Not to worry, we are here if anything goes awry. (fancy word for "crappy".   )
