I have just opted for the manual registration, and am waiting for the e-mail to be sent to me.

Don't forget to check your "junk/trash/spam" email folder(s), just in case the email already arrived but was put in there.

I tried the manual registration and am also still waiting for the email info to be sent, it's been 8 hours, so I guess I'll see... I saw that this issue was posted here almost 3 months ago and it still hasn't been fixed. I'm sure that something would have been done about it a long time ago if it involved renewing registration for the paid version.

Email received (soon after my last posting in fact), registration key entered, everything now fine.
Registered until the end of 2012.

Has anyone managed to re-register the free version using the button provided?
