Programs Not Installing

Has anyone had a problem installing programs with Avast installed, I have had a few programs that wont install with Avast on my computer and as soon as I un-installed avast the programs installed OK. Here is a error message that I get. Any help aprecciated.

In Windows XP SP2 (which I suppose you're using) there is a problem with version 4.1.
I think the best you can do is download the version 4.5 Beta. Instructions here:

Can you make a try and see if it's ok? Thanks.
You can search the board for 16-Bit applications and will find more...

I Installed Version 4.5 as a clean install and it works fine. Thanks for the tip .
