Avast4.1 - Pocomail3.2 - K9 : Help!

I've read and tried a few posting here in the forum to get the combination of Avast, Poco and K9 going, but did not yet succeed.

Is there anyone who can shed some light on this topic. Thanks.

Better is searching for K9...
I think Pocomail will work like other email clients.
I think the best you can do is download the version 4.5 Beta because it uses a new mail detection that will work automatically. Please, set up your email account just as avast does not exists. It will detect the pop3/smpt/imap ports and scan your messages.

  got it working for 4.1:

Settings for K9:

"Default" (listens on port 9999)

Account settings:

Server: localhost:9999
Username: localhost/110/username#POP3-servername

Additional rule in Outpost 2.5:

for ASHMAISV.EXE

protocol: TCP
direction: incoming
remote-host: localhost
= allow

got it working for 4.1:

Remember that maybe you'll need to change the settings with the 4.5 version.
It's really better update to 4.5 as it will have better detection rates. Anyway, 4.5 is supposed to change automatically the email settings but when the user has a spam killer most probably the changes will require manual adjust
