Virus updates

     I'm a new member to the Avast anti virus forum and I would like to know what happens with virus updates? What do I do to ensure that all the latest viruses are in the Avast list?

Welcome!
You must configure to receive automatic updates from Avast!
Start avast antivirus, right click the skin and choose Settings.
Go to Updates (Basic) and (Advanced) and configure how you want them.
If you have more doubts, just let us know

Hi,
    Thanks for you quick reply but I'm not sure how to start Avast anti virus. I've got two icons on the task bar and I've right clicked both of them but cannot find settings. Could you advise how to start Avast anti virus?

Right click the 'a' blue icon on your system tray (next to the clock).
Choose Start avast! antivirus
