why the two bowls ares disappeared in right low ???

Hm. Open Task manager and check if ashServ.exe is running.
If you are using Windows 2000/XP, also check if ashDisp.exe is running.

Check the taskmanager to see if Avast is still running. If it is use RejZor's AEC (Avast External Control) to repair the balls in the taskbar.
If Avast is not running, try a repair.
start > control panel > software > add/remove > Avast > change/repair

I think the best you can do is download the version 4.5 Beta and install it. It's very stable and corrects a lot of troubles. Instructions here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=11;action=display;threadid=8044;start=0

But before you can download/install 4.5, Avast 4.1 must be able to get updates ;)
