That is one nice avatar Miha. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

And never be affraid to try anything in your life... persistence and hard work makes everything possible. I wouldn't say you are newbie at this, because as we all can see, it looks perfect.

200x150 is kind of too large for this forum rules... we use 100x100 pixels avatars or smaller. There are some rules in forum policy about that...

No I don't use any third party software to have those themes on my Windows XP machine, I simply applied UXTHEME.dll patch and I can use some other mssstyles. The circle in the middle is a program called Orbit and it's just some third party add-on for Windows. I already posted some info as well as download links here in forum, can't recall where though... in Off-topic forum I believe...

Regaring the avatars, I was doing that before while I had some free time on my hands, but unfortunatelly I am so busy now that I simply can not manage everything. I recently started to work for a huge corporation as a flash developer, working on 3 different projects (unbelievable huge) in the same time, trying to help sometimes in this forum, and working on complete redesing of a wonderful mail checking application POP Peeper. Besides all those things, there comes my family, all those little and big things around the house etc...

If I catch some free time I will try to do something, but can't promise anything.

Cheers !

Edit: as far as Gmail icon goes, where did you find that link that's not working anymore ? I can't find it... if you show me, I will try to update it... ;)

Hey,

I mean I want the 200 x 150 thumbnail picture for my website I'm still making (It's just a picture that link to this other link and then there is other pictures that link to other link etc etc... This is my computing assignment for my school.) But yea if you can't then that's ok ;)

Here is the link for "Gmail desktop icons... for anyone who needs them":
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=15849.0

And this is the link to download the icon but not working:
http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=1316182

This is the gmail icon I really like and hoping I can get  ;D:

By the way good luck with your work etc  ;)

Thanks,

Henry

The old download link doesn't work because after some time they remove those files from their server. It was working while that thread was still active.

Anyway, here is a new zip file with 2 icons inside and the ReadMe.txt file (please read it regarding the terms of use).

http://www.savefile.com/files/1856486
(Just click on the orange Download button)

As for your thumbnail, I have to say I have no clue what needs to be done on it, since I see it is already 200x150 pixels large... I just don't know what do you mean with "thumbnail for the website". It is already resized to desired size, and it can be used as a thumbnail right away... maybe I'm missing something.

Cheers !

hi henryjl,

I use a small utility to re-size pictures. It is called Image Resizer and can be found here:

http://www.imageresizer.com/

It will do a batch or one at a time plus convertions from one format to another.

I hope this helps you.    :)

Hey,

Thanks for the link Charley0.

S.Z.Craftec sorry if I can't explain things properly ^_^ but the 200 x 150 picture is not a thumbnail sorry.
150 x 112 is a thumbnail picture according to imageshack.us.

Um... but what I was trying to say in all those confusing threads was could you make something out of this picture here.
e.g Make the picture fade away and then a name comes in saying "Henry" or something like that?

Hope this made sense  :-\

Thanks,

Henry

Sorry but imageshack is not the one who invented thumbnail term, so they can not be the one who makes rules what's the size of the thumbnail ;)

This is just one of the thumbnail definitions:

http://webclipart.about.com/cs/msubh7a/g/thmnail.htm

So, as it says, thumnails are just smaller pictures that represents original picture which is larger. If someone wants to represent something that's in original state 1024x768 pixels large, one can do it in many ways... so for example, you can do it with 100 pixels (horizontal) thumbnail like this:

or with 300 pixels one:

or even if you like with 40 pixels one:

MB: GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD3H Intel 7 Series  - LGA1155, CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K - Quad Core, 3.40GHz (3.80GHz Max Turbo), CPU COOLER: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO Direct Heat Pipe R2, RAM: 16 GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3, VIDEO CARD: Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 Ti - 1GB, GDDR5, POWER SUPPLY: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750 V2 - 750 Watts, HD: Seagate Barracuda - 2TB, 7200RPM, 64MB, SATA 6Gb/s

I guess imageshack has their own standard ... which is why I suggested Image Resizer so that Henry could make the "required size" thumbnails himself.    :)

Here is your avatar Henry... I am still not sure if that is what you were looking for, but it's 100 pixels (horizontal) which is also some kind of non-writen forum rule when it comes to avatar size. Here it is:

And just in case, you need your name logo (larger), you can take it from here:

It's a PNG file format with alpha channel (transparent background)... so you can load it into Photoshop or any other tool that deals with PNGs with Alpha channels and "stick" it to any picture you want...

Have a good one Henry !
