Okay you got a point for the definition details... this said you ever had a look at the "wow that was close" page when testing an EICAR file? ... I mean no matter what the blocked threat is, you won't get any details about it, but just a "lucky you you got Avast up and running" sort of message. Ok we've been through this discussion long ago already, main thing for me is threats get blocked...

I do agree that the landing page for the virus alert is far from ideal... I don't quite like it either.

We have an ongoing project that should considerably improve that page. Hopefully, you will be able to see it changed soon.

Thanks

So far 1270 and 1273 are working fine on both of my machines (Windows 7 32 and 64 Bit).

the "more details" button is - as expressed by the Avast team - and yes as obvious as it was when it got introduced a while ago already, just a way to generate more traffic to Avast web site. From a user point of view, it brings absolutely nothing, no info, nothing. It's just a promotion button, period.

What makes you think so?
I think the landing page is quite reasonable in this case.

New behavior shield (6.0.1270/1273) crashes Tencent Messenger (http://im.qq.com/tm/), an IM software similar to Tencent QQ which is widely used in China.

TM crashes seconds after I login. But if I disable the behavior shield before I start TM, it works fine, even if I re-enable the shield while it's still running.

My OS is Vista SP2, and I don't have other security tools running.

I am also confirming it, QQ is not working properly.

Once I open it, I try to sign in, it takes sometimes saying 'Signing in' and then the window disappears together with the tray icon.

It would be great if you guys can do something about it. :)

Installed from scratch and works seamlessly... :)

BUT avast! notification pop up More Details... button design really really ruin the notification pop up appearance... It's really odd and not suite even to display... A link would be better than that button... Please consider and change it avast! guys...

Cheers...

Again, I'd appreciate a bit more details about this problem.
Is the software still available in Chinese only?

Also, would you have any dump files that would help us debug the issue?

Do you use a 32-bit or 64-bit OS?

Thanks

Interesting. Any corresponding entries in the firewall's activity log?

Thanks.
