Avast Block An Online Game Please Help Me :)

hello guys,

i play a online game called silkroad online when i install avast "Internet Security" and lunch the game it get block  when "Sf.bin" file start
OS:Windows XP Sp3
Ram:3Gb DDr2
VEGA: 1GB nvidia geforce 9400 gt ddr2

and i dont install any firewall,protection program etc.

i start the game from silkroad.exe when i click start it lunch "hacksheild" and "Sro_Clinet" if "hacksheild" blocked or didnt start "Sro_Client" Won't start either .

Hi Uploader,

This is good question,

We also met some user in Indonesia have the same problem as yours. During the user start up the Point Blank game (contains HackShield) then the PB game didn't started.

This only happened on Windows XP SP3, but not on Win XP SP2 and Win 7.

I am not sure what is the caused of this issues, but if you using avast version 5 there is no issues such as this shall happened during game online startup.

Going from SP3 back to SP2 ? I would search for a workaround instead, or even using Avast5 for a while if it has no problems with the game. All but returning back to a previous SP.

Hi Uploader,

I am not recommended to downgrade your existing Windows Service Pack, due to the vulnerability reason for each old Service Pack.

I more prefer if you using avast version 5.0 or you update your Hackshield pack or installed with the latest avast version 6.0.
