Hello,
Yahoo is set to use cclMScan ( from my old Nortons I believe) as it default scanner. What do I need to change the applacation too for Avast?

Are you paying for Yahoo? If not you don't have to setup Avast for it. The on-access scanner can take care about the messages/attachments you are saving locally.

Ah thought you where talking about Yahoo mail.
Open the on-access control panel (click the blue ball with the "A"), click on instant messaging, make sure Yahoo is ticked there.
