Notifcations
« on: November 07, 2004, 01:12:48 PM »
Hi

I recently edited my notifications so that i only recevie them for private messages, but i still get emails everytime someone posts in the "New features for the next major avast! release [WISHLIST] " , in the avast 4 Home/Pro board.
I definatly have it unchecked, i was wondering if one of the Moderators/Admin's could do something about this as i don't wish to recive email notifications for it anymore.

Did you try the 'Notifications' buttom at the bottom of the page or into your profile?

Go to the thread from which you're still getting notifications. Then (like Technical said) go to the bottom of the page. Look at the picture.
When you click on notify, another window opens up:
Would you like to deactivate Notification on this topic?
Yes - No

Select Yes
That should take care of your problem. ;D ;D

I assume that's not already in the Users' FAQ thread -- and if so, it would make a useful addition there.  I didn't know either that the "Notify" button was in effect an on-off toggle.

Mike:
I found that out by accident when I pressed it to be notified and didn't realize it was already one of my selected threads.  ;D

You can also select "to be notified" when you reply to a post.  It appears as a checkbox beneath the reply window.....

not this one, but the one where you enter your text.
