Outlook question
« on: November 06, 2004, 06:45:13 PM »
Hi everyone.

I'm a brand new user of Avast! 4.1 Home Edition.
Everything "appears" to be running well so far except for the Outlook/Exchange provider.

My email client is Outlook 2002 and I'm running Windows 98se.

The On-Access Scanner in Outlook/Exchange says that "The provider is waiting for a subsystem to start" even though Outlook 2002 is open and operational.

So is this normal or do I have a problem?  As far as I know my settings are correct but would be happy to check them if pointed in the right direction.

Thanks,
Greg

Well I found the problem.
Outlook had disabled Avast!.

So I want to thank myself for finding the solution.   ;D

Everything seems to be working and the provider for Outlook is currently running.
