Running boot-time scan while connected to the net, safe?
« on: September 05, 2011, 05:16:13 PM »
Hi.

Is it okay to run Avast boot-time scan while my pc is still connected to the net? I'm just wondering if worms or viruses can get into my pc while doing a boot-time scan since the Avast's real-time shields and Windows firewall are not yet running during this time.

Thanks for any enlightenment.

The boot-time scanner is an expert feature, and was designed to be used when there’s something bad going on on the system.
