I searched for a topic discussing this to add my remarks...

There are a few worldwide organizations that are testing anti-virus and anti-malware software, such as these:

amtso, av-comparatives, av-test, virusbtn

While I prefer Avast, there are others that are promoted as being stronger in heuristics.

I continue using Avast, however I use virustotal when in doubt about a specific file. Now there is an easy option to submit suspicious files to the AV Lab through Avast UI.

Is there is an ongoing development for improving heuristics in Avast?  ::)

Apart from the benefits of heuristics, I dislike false positives. Greetings.

I think you are going off-topic there ;)
