Script Shield not working on Firefox
« on: September 11, 2011, 11:40:11 PM »
The Script Shield doesn't seem to be working according to shield traffic. I've tried restoring factory settings, Firefox Safe Mode (everything checked), re-installing both software, changing settings, but none of those work.

Only when IE engine (via IE Tab, and other programs) is used does it work.

Avast 6.0.1289 with Web, Netwrok, and Script Shield
Firefox 6.0.2
Windows 7 Pro 64-bit SP1

Is there a website where I can test the Script Shield?

Try Yahoo Sports in the U.S.A

http://sports.yahoo.com

Just stay on it for 10 minutes surfing among its various sites like MLB, NFL, NBA etc.

Keep the Script Shield GUI open and just click back and forth between Yahoo Sports and the Script Shield GUI.  If SS is working on your computer you will definitely see an indication of it in the SS GUI graph.   I also use the FF addon NoScript.

Can't you give a more specific link? I'm not into sports.

Avast 6.0.1289 with Web, Network, and Script Shield
Firefox 6.0.2

Script shield is currently dependant on Behaviour Shield. Having both, it should work for FF 6.0.2.

Never knew that, wasn't Script Shield created before that? Why is this the case (like AutoSandbox)? Can you use it with Behaviour Shield disabled?

1. Never knew that, wasn't Script Shield created before that?
2. Can you use it with Behaviour Shield disabled?

1. It's a new Script Shield.
2. No.

1. Hope these components will be more independent in the future.
2. I've just installed Behaviour Shield, but have it stopped permanently. Script Shield is working fine with Firefox still (outside of Sandboxie, but that's a different issue).
Nevermind, it was temporary only after behaviour shield analyzed Firefox. Removed Script and Behaviour Shield until it becomes completely independent.
