yeah I forgot to mention , Windows 8 preview already integrates a so called security scan when you download anything through IE (v10) from the metro interface. I saw it happen a couple of times.
Windows 7 does the same thing with IE9. It's part of the Smart Screen filtering.

oops you're right, I hardly use IE9 to download anything but I've seen it happen once or twice with smart screen. Just on IE10/Win8, the scope is larger, it's OS wide.
