SOLVED False positive
« on: September 15, 2011, 01:36:40 PM »
This morning I booted up my XP Pro system and received the latest database update 110915-0 and received a virus alert on C:\PROGRAM FILES\UPHCLEAN\UPHCLEAN.EXE

This is a false postitive.

You mean you have no idea what you do with false positives?
You are supposed to be an all knowing "Evangelist" after all...

I am an avast! "Evangelist" but I do not know everything! :'(

I am reporting it here to see if other XP system users have the same problem.

Try sending it to avast...that will help the others who use it...

Since this isn't a required service, reporting it to Avast should be enough.
Once they've made the fix, restore the file and delete it from the chest.

You didn't post that so we don't know...

Maybe you should have put it in your signature...

I do not 'play' with my computer as I use it!

Another user Davy in the United Kingdom has reported this False positive!
See Pondus' post!

My signature contains what I want it to contain, not what is deemed fit by other people, that is why it is my signature. I also have no trouble including the information relevant to the topic in my posts.

Isn't it interesting how others can, while posting also included the relevant information that informs the user, rather than embellishing posts with irrelevant information that has no significance to anyone. (like post count or where they are from)

The database update 110915-1 resolved the issue with the False positive.
