Trojan virus - how do I get rid of it? HELP!!!

I have had this Trojan-gen virus on my computer for a couple of weeks and nothing I do is getting rid of it.  Does anyone have any ideas?  It has infected numerous files with the extension pollal1r.exe.  Please tell me if you know anything about this!!!!
