Avast Behavior Shield Question
« on: September 16, 2011, 12:37:07 AM »
Hello, Avast says the Behavior Shield has been detecting something infected.. but there is no pop ups about it.. (On my other computer with Windows xp) I use Revo uninstaller, Bleach bit portable full cleaning, and Ccleaner on the machine.. It has the latest Avast version it

I just want to know how can I find out what was blocked? (I turn this pc on but my dad uses it.. I mostly use my windows 7 laptop  ;D )

Then you should have got a pop-up Asking what action to take.

Check the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AVAST Software\Avast\report\BehaviorShield.txt.

Are you sure you haven't asked this question before as I remember answering the same question very recently, can't recall from whom.

I asked a question simlier to this about a year ago. But I didn't want to take the Trouble of going through my recent posts to find it..  (I think it was before the shield had popups)

The Behavior Shield log/txt file didn't say anything for yesterday but the Statistics for the Shield said it blocked something.

Here is the log entry from yesterday..

From what I've heard, the Behav. shield can see a "suspicious event" and then work with another shield like the File shield to see if a detection is warranted or not.  That might be what is shown here, in this case a full detection not being warranted.

Probably because its a 64bit.  Mostly because its not needed as much.  Mine also shows hardly any activity day to day.
