Bitdefender Security Scan
« on: September 17, 2011, 03:30:30 PM »
Dear users,

I made a scan with Bitdefender Security Scan
Here is the error message : avast! Antivirus ne fonctionne pas correctement.
(in english Avast doesn't work properly)

Any idea to solve that ?
Avast tells me it is correctly working

I don't use Bit-Defender however I do run the Top 100 Monthly Removal Tool from Bit-Defender which can be downloaded at MalwareCity.com.

It has found and removed Malware on my computers that avast! IS, Malwarebytes, SAS, McAfee Stinger etc, all missed.  On my Netbook it found and deleted a bunch of stuff that avast! IS and the others all missed.  Once it cleaned the Malware my Netbook resumed running at its normal speed.

Repair avast:
1. Control Panel - Add/Remove programs - avast!
2. Scroll down and click on 'Repair'.
3. Follow instructions.
W8.1 [x64] - Avast Free AV 23.3.8047.BC [UI.757] - Firefox ESR 102.9 [NS/uBO/PB] - Thunderbird 102.9.1
Avast-Tools: Secure Browser 109.0 - Cleanup 23.1 - SecureLine 5.18 - DriverUpdater 23.1 - CCleaner 6.01

what AV did you have before avast! ?
have you removed it ?
did you run a removal tool to clear any leftovers ?

you find tools here - run and reboot ..........then try avast repair and reboot again........or remove with this and reinstall  http://www.avast.com/en-no/uninstall-utility
