hey, thanks  ;)      Im going to keep plugging away at it  (no pun intended)  and email them as a last resort  :)      None of the faqs for it help a bit...  already did all they suggest.      Oh, and its a Micro Vault...  duh.. not a Memory Stick.        Cant deal with it for a few days now as he has flown across the country to Virginia and has it with him.   Will mess with it again over the coming weekend...

If you go way back to late 1970's, I got a replacement for a Sony st2095 hi-fi tuner sold here in the U.K.

The local dealer woudn't admit the problem,  Sony did, after a few air mail letters to their hq.

I still use their products now because of that btw.

Sony Technics and JVC came with 5 year guarantees back then also!
