Okay I installed the Win 10 preview on the laptop in a dual boot setup with 7. I have to say I like it. The new start Menu pretty much takes away the need for Classic Shell. There are some things I'd like to see changed though. There is no option to add browser favorites to the Start Menu and that's what I use the most. You can add them in 7, 8, and 8.1 but they've been omitted in 10. I'm talking about right clicking on the taskbar and then Properties/Start Menu/Customize.

The biggest problem I had was that the wireless networking driver that Win 10 installed did not work right. I kept getting limited connections. After a few Google searches I found the right driver and instructions on how to make it work. The card is the Broadcom 4313GN and it seems that it had the same issues in Win 8 and 8.1.

I'm also dual booting with Windows 8.1 as the default boot and Windows 10 as the alternate.

Yes Malwarebytes works fine. I haven't tried the free Bitdefender AV yet so I'm still using Defender as well.

The Windows 10 background has invaded my Windows 8 partition ???
Strange since they are on separate partitions. When I booted this morning,
I noticed the desktop background in Windows 8.1 had changed to the Windows 10 image.

The same thing happened to me. It's because of the syncing through OneDrive.  Go to PC settings and then to OneDrive and change the sync settings by unchecking syncing of desktop things .
