One of the best features of Win 8 and one that is rarely mentioned, is it's ability to run an ISO file as a virtual optical drive and install things without having to burn the ISO to a disk or mount it with a third party utility.

Windows 8.1 loses Windows 7 Imaging

Apparently the only way you can still make a system image is via the command line. The GUI link is gone! Not cool!!

This will be the first thing for me to check on once I update.
I'm currently finishing a backup in Windows 8:

I'll be installing Windows 8.1 as soon as the final release is available from TechNet.

They really do seem to be going out of their way to hack off users, give them back something (Start button and very limited options) but take something else away.

Not bad. No errors, No conflicts.
(The final "no thanks, I'll stay with the free version selection doesn't work.)
I closed that screen by clicking on the X at the top right of the window.

Disable or Re-enable the Auto Arrange function in Windows 8
The auto arrange feature is always on in Windows 8

I've installed this version, but it's not updating... It says "Cannot connect to server"...
What can I do?
