When you first install avast I believe it installs all so they are available, should you need them. Have you removed some? What providers are shown?
Depending on your operating system use the Add Remove Programs, select Avast Anti-virus and click the change/remove button (if your OS doesn't support this you will only see remove). When the window opens you will have several options, Change... allows you to add or remove resident providers as required.
