Hi,

If you have Kerio 2.1.5 and can get to the Firewall Rules I can help you.

What you will need is two rules 1 for OE and 1 for Avast.

The rule for OE is as follows -

Description = OE
Protocol = TCP
Direction = Outgoing
Local Port = any
Application = c:\program files\outlook express\msimn.exe(or where ever msimn.exe is located)
Remote Address = 127.0.0.1
Remote Port = List of ports (25,110)
Action = Permit

The rule for Avast is as follows -

Description = Avast mail scan
Protocol = TCP
Direction = Outgoing
Local Port = any
Application = c:\program files\alwil software\avast4\ashmaisv.exe(or where ever ashmaisv.exe is located)
Remote Address = any
Remote Port = List of ports (25,110)
Action = Permit

This is what worked for me on Windows 2000 Pro.  Also have you ran the Avast Mail protection Wizard to set up the Avast Mail Protection.  These rules only work if Avast Internet mail protection is correctly set up and running.  I can not get Avast Mail Scanner to work with the Kerio 4 betas.

The two rules that I listed are the only rules I have for OE and Avast mail.  www.dslreports.com has a message forum that can help you with your other rules for Kerio, as my rules only allow DNS, IE, OE, Avast Mail scanning, and deny everything else.  I update my Avast by manually downloading VPS files and Program Updates from the Avast Website.
