Strange log entries
« on: October 02, 2011, 06:56:51 PM »
I have Avast! version 6.0.1289 set to run a scan at 0200.  During one scan, the log showed about 60 entries - all identical - of the following:

Error: Exception in Macro Viruses code (42102)

Anyone know what the means?  It was applied to a lot of hash.bin and xxx.SYS files.  Vista is still running just fine though so I think this may have been just a fluke.  It has not repeated for a week.

What happened? What's the problem? Why did it not work?
Any other antivirus program installed? Which was your old antivirus?

What in the world does this have to do with my question?

Sorry Hiballer, I did not noticed before. You're right, it's off topic.

Does the same happen even if you scan the mentioned files manually, e.g. using the context menu extension?
If yes, and if it happens even with the latest virus definitions - could you please pack a few of those files into an archive and upload it to ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming ?
