Well, my friend, but I'm not sure you have right pop3 and smtp server names... it should be something like pop.artelier.com and smtp.artelier.com (but I'm not sure, that's not my e-mail provider so I can't possibly know that information)...also, your loggin name is so strange. How can it be artelier, when it's your domain name (www.artelier.com). Normaly it should be something as the first part of your e-mail address... in your case, something like Aynur

You should have something like your unique login name. Check those information with your e-mail provider and then enter them properly. I'm 99% sure those information you entered are not correct...

I just checked, www.artelier.com is some designing company..has nothing to do with providing e-mail services. Where did you get those information ? Who is your mail provider ?

I didn't understand what you mean by email provider.
I am using Artelier design's email account, but they have their e-mail provider's.
Which is at the bottom. the web hosting service...

That's OK, you are using their email account, so that means your e-mail account is on the ARTELIER domain... but, you need to find out what are their pop3 and smtp server names, 'cause those you set in your Outlook Express are not valid ones. There is no other way you can check those mails in Outlook Express or Outlook or any other mail client (except mail thorugh web access) unless you get those 2 server names. Also, ask them what is your account login name... you see that field that says User name on that screenshot you posted ? What do you usually enter in that field ?

Just to simplify everything... do this... find out following information:

1.) pop3 server name for your e-mail provider
2.) smtp server name for your e-mail provider
3.) login (user) name that you suppose to use with your e-mail account
4.) password

P.S. Have to leave now, but I'll check this thread later...  ;)

www (short for World Wide Web) is never the address of a pop/smtp server. So unless you setup the mail correctly, there is no way it will ever gonna work.

Exactly as I told you before. You have to call your e-mail provider (whoever it is), person or technical support who gave you this e-mail. Simply ask them what are your smtp and pop3 server names, your account (user) name and password. And, by the way, I didn't say you should give me your password (anyway, even if you posted it here, no one can use it, because those server names are incorrect and also, your user name is totaly wrong). It can not be the same as the name of domain, unless you are the owner of the domain and you set everything like that. See here what I said:

2.) smtp server name for your e-mail provider

4.) password

I said, FIND OUT, not GIVE ME YOUR PASSWORD...

Call them and ask them about that info... until you do that, you won't be able to set your e-mail account properly. So, conclusion, avast! is not the cause for your problems here.

Your username is very likely aynur or aynur@atelier.com

www.atelier.com is NOT a smtp server nor a pop3 server.

Call them again and ask them what to put in as SMTP server and what to use as POP3 server.
And while you have them on the phone, ask them also why they don't have instructions for the settings on their website.

It seems to me that they don't have a clue what you were asking them. Ask them exactly as I told you in one of my previous replies...

It should be something like:

pop.artelier.com
smtp.artelier.com

or even mail.artelier.com for both of them.

Your user name (loging name) is most likely the first part of your e-mail address... in this case, AYNUR, and your password I don't know... you should know that if they gave it to you...
