[Resolved] Uh...Why?
« on: October 08, 2011, 11:43:15 PM »
Why does the Yahoo USA version have three green bars and the Yahoo UK version have only two green bars with WebRep?  ???

I "re-installed" WebRep to try it out again. Still not sold on it.  :)

Easy to understand really, they are different domain names and will obviously have different numbers of votes. You can't compare the two just because they are Yahoo, they are different domains.

I don't know how you are going to yahoo.co.uk as when I do I get redirected to uk.yahoo.com and that shows three bars.

There are now but not when I did my initial test.  :)

Yes but my question remains, how did you enter yahoo.co.uk as it should redirect to uk.yahoo.com and consequently when you see three bars is it for yahoo.co.uk or uk.yahoo.com ?

Different domains, different number of votes.
WebRep is based on reputation votes, as you know.
Sorry to be obvious :-[

Here's the link  http://uk.yahoo.com/

I am well aware of the "popularity" part. It's when I first went to uk.yahoo.com all I saw was two green bars. I am wondering if it's the server again. WebRep on the UK Yahoo is  three green bars now as it should be.  :)
