DropMyRights Now in Webroot Secure Anywhere - How about Avast?
« on: October 17, 2011, 04:07:49 AM »
I'm a AVAST IS user but tried Webroot Secure Anywhere and see it has the "Run Safer" (DropMyRights) feature of Online Armor Free. Until now, I have always recommended Avast + Online Armor Free for its "Run Safer"/DropMyRights feature. I would LOVE it if Avast followed suit by incorpporating DropMyStarts as a Lite Sandbox (webroot calls it SafeStart Sandbox). I can't recommend full sandbox in Avast because even I find it too much bother to get my work done.

Thoughts? Webroot never impressed me but they purchased Prevx and incorporated Run Safer/dropmyrights in their new product -- to stellar reviews.

Saving inside sandbox and then finding and retrieving files for install.

Saving outside the sandbox defeats its security purpose, correct?

Been a while but flash didn't work in the "Always Run" sandbox either.
