something that always bothered me on the download.com site is the fact that avg is almost always at the top of list of most popular downloads,
usually with a huge number of downloads.
although avast is usually second, third or high in the list, its usually behind avg, which bugs me; i mean avast has nearly 178 million registered users(and redirects downloaders from its site to cnet, meaning cnet is the main download source of avast),while avg probably has under 100 million users total(registered or otherwise); the question is,who the hel! is downloading all those AVGs?   >:(

avira is usually behind though,so no worries there.  ;D

AVG might send more people worldwide to Cnet to download their installer than Avast! does.

Example, I get sent to Cnet if I try to DL Avast! Free from Avast!'s home page, but someone mentioned before (Asyn I think?) that German users get it right from Avast! servers.

Plus.....more re-installs due to problems=more downloads ;D  (couldn't resist that little jab)

Yes, it was me.
Just a little correction: German speaking users don't get it from the Avast servers, but from here: http://www.chip.de/downloads/avast-Free-Antivirus_13010163.html Anyway, you're right, that not all users worldwide are sent to Cnet.
